There was also a glimpse of a weapon skin with cell-shading similar to the Borderlands series&#8217; style, and a potential MVP animation with a dropped lighter.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68a6e16c9489b\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Borderlands has now become the first collaboration brand to arrive to Rainbow Six Siege since it launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/siege-x-beginners-guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Siege X update<\/a>, which brought enhanced visuals, audio, <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/siege-x-pick-and-ban-esports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">round-based bans<\/a> and more to the game. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68a6e16c94ea6\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Rumours began to spiral online surrounding a potential Borderlands event during the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/04\/rainbow-six-unveils-rel0ad-2025-format-bullets-wildcards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">R6 RE:LO:AD tournament<\/a> in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, back in May earlier this year. As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/siege.gg\/news\/a-rainbow-six-siege-and-borderlands-collaboration-could-be-on-the-way\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Siege.GG<\/a>, users noticed a Borderlands-themed mask from <strong>Lee &#8220;GoodBoy&#8221; Ji-heon&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0perspective during a match between BNK FEARX and G2 Esports.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68a6e16c954aa\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thegamepost.com\/rainbow-six-siege-x-year-10-season-2-leak-new-cosmetics-battle-pass-skins-paragon-items\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Game Post<\/a> then shared that leaks have also been shared online surrounding the skins that may potentially arrive in the game. The screenshots allege that Mozzie will receive a Male Psycho Bandit skin, and IQ will receive a Lilith skin. In addition, Mozzie&#8217;s Commando-9 assault rifle and IQ&#8217;s 552 Commando assault rifle will both supposedly receive Borderlands-themed gun skins. Ubisoft has yet to confirm the legitimacy of these leaks.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68a6e16c95b05\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>It is not the first time that Rainbow Six Siege has released collaboration skins for other franchises. Long-time fans may remember <a href=\"https:\/\/news.ubisoft.com\/en-us\/article\/3MEHWKDpMk5NalVOc2I47A\/rainbow-six-siege-x-halo-crossover-brings-master-chief-set-for-sledge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sledge&#8217;s Master Chief elite skin for Halo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/NcSf4Pn83_8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ash&#8217;s Lara Croft elite skin for The Tomb Raider<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68a6e16c96260\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Ubisoft has not shared if any esports activations will be available during the crossover&#8217;s launch.
