Other top picks on PC also included Dokkaebi, Thermite, Blackbeard, Twitch, IQ and Nomad.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d318d\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>On the defenders side, <strong>Doc <\/strong>was noticeably ahead of the crowd with similar statistics to Ash and Ace. Other popular picks also included Valkyrie, Lesion, and Mira with nearly 30% pick rates and nearly 1% win delta.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d3827\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Some of these results match the ban rates in the ranked playlist for the season. On PC, the top three most-banned attackers include Ace (64%), Blackbeard (26%), and Dokkaebi (19%). However, the operator will see significant changes aimed to reduce his &#8216;offensive capabilities&#8217; while keeping his &#8216;versatility&#8217;.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d4cd5\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>These are all the Blackbeard changes heading into Operation High Stakes<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ADS Changes\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blackbeard ADS recovery time set to 0.9s (was 0.5s).<\/li>\n<li>Blackbeard can&#8217;t ADS while rappelling in a window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Reload Changes\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blackbeard&#8217;s H.U.L.L. Shield completely folds while reloading.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mobility Changes\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blackbeard cannot breach-in from rappel through non-weakened barricades.<\/li>\n<li>H.U.L.L. Shield Breach Charges reduced to 3 (was 4).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d5476\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Other characters will receive smaller changes by comparison to make them less dominant. <strong>Echo <\/strong>will see stat changes, making him a two-armour (from three) and two-speed (from one). Operators such as <strong>Oryx, Pulse, Rook, Ying<\/strong>, and <strong>Sledge<\/strong> will receive the Reaper MK2 machine pistol for close-range engagements.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d5a9f\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>It is interesting to note that whilst Blackbeard has seen several nerfs, some of the most popular characters picked and banned, such as Ash and Ace, have not been addressed. On the defender&#8217;s side, while Fenrir and Lesion have lost their respective shotguns as secondary weapons, Mira remains unchanged<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-heading-68cad1a1d60fe\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"how_will_this_affect_esports-2\">How Will This Affect Esports?<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d674d\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/esports-world-cup-2025-week-5-recap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Esports World Cup Rainbow Six Siege X<\/a> tournament showcased the state of the meta for Season 2.3 through the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/siege-x-pick-and-ban-esports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pick and ban system<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d6dcc\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>During the Grand Finals match between G2 Esports and Team Secret, some of the most commonly banned defenders included Kaid, Mira, Bandit, and Azami, while frequently removed attackers included Ace, Capitao, and Montagne. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d7436\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Blackbeard was played during the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/NOOCgH4rsQc?t=18624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grand Finals<\/a>, such as when Team Secret&#8217;s Flex player, <strong>Marc &#8216;jume&#8217; Steinmann<\/strong>, picked him during a match on Kafe Doskoyevsky. However, his appearances in the event were few and far between.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d7a9f\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>As a result, any drastic changes to the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/03\/siege-x-impact-on-r6-esports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">esports scene<\/a> will likely be a result of the new content coming with Operation High Stakes as opposed to the balance changes detailed in the Designers&#8217; Notes. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68cad1a1d80d5\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Players will be able to see how these changes unfold at the professional level as soon as Stage 2 begins in September.
