Derennes co-founded Ubisoft&#8217;s Montreal studio in 1997, recently serving as its Managing Director for North America, while Guillemot spent his career at <strong>Owlient<\/strong>, a studio acquired by Ubisoft in 2014.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690232561efec\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>&#8220;Our long-term objective with this new subsidiary is to grow these iconic brands while remaining loyal to their DNA,&#8221; said<strong> Vantage Studio&#8217;s co-CEO Christophe Derennes<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.ubisoft.com\/en-ca\/article\/60h1Sq3PKN8WlNdlic2KLN\/ubisoft-announces-christophe-derennes-and-charlie-guillemot-as-coceos-of-new-subsidiary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in a prior announcement<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690232561fb5d\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>&#8220;When we look at the evolution of Assassin&#8217;s Creed, Rainbow Six, and Far Cry, we can see that they are no longer just games, they are universes with a host of new possibilities available to us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-69023256206cd\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>The creation of the studios also aims to give developers &#8220;more hands-on control over the games they are building&#8221;, resulting in the creation of deeper connections between the developer and players.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-heading-69023256212fc\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"how_will_it_impact_esports-2\">How Will It Impact Esports?<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-6902325621c3e\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>With greater opportunities for developers to implement the feedback of players, the launch of Vantage Studios could have a positive impact on the Rainbow Six esports scene. However, it is unclear how significant an impact this structural shift will have on the franchise&#8217;s competitive landscape. As of right now, tournament organiser BLAST runs Rainbow Six&#8217;s official esports circuit. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690232562238b\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>The next tournament taking place is <strong>BLAST R6 Major Munich 2025<\/strong>, taking place from November 8th to 16th.
