Before embarking on a Halo career in 2021, he won four major <strong>Gears of War<\/strong> tournaments.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-685c1128e04e4\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>ENVY has a rich history of competing in Halo. The organisation was one of the first to compete in the inaugural season of the HCS in 2016, achieving victory in that year&#8217;s Pro League Fall Finals. In 2017, it finished second at the Halo World Championship.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-685c1128e0bef\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Halo is one of several titles ENVY has entered since founder <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/01\/mike-hastr0-rufail-envy-acquisition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mike &#8216;Hastr0&#8217; Rufail<\/a> re-acquired the brand from <strong>OpTic Gaming<\/strong> in January 2025. In addition to Halo, the organisation competes in Apex Legends, VALORANT, Marvel Rivals, and Super Smash Bros.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-685c1128e1320\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Outside of its expansion, ENVY merged with fellow esports organisation <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/03\/envy-native-gaming-merger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Native Gaming in March<\/a>. Native Gaming has previously competed in Halo, fielding a roster from 2022 until October 2024.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-heading-685c1128e1a66\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"the_rebuild_of_envy-2\">The Rebuild of ENVY<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-685c1128e2167\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>The first five months have been a period of rebuilding and growth for ENVY following its return to the esports industry. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-685c1128e285d\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Founded in 2007, the organisation remains one of the most recognisable in North America following years of success in Call of Duty and Counter-Strike tournaments. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-685c1128e2f60\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Following the Halo expansion, a return to Valve&#8217;s first-person shooter title could be next on the list.
