One will be decided at the Last Chance Qualifier taking place from July 17th to 19th, 2025, while the other will be filled by the winner of the FACEIT League Season 5 SA Master, which concludes on July 13th. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-heading-68654babe8681\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"the_biggest_headlines_from_owcs_stage_2-2\">The Biggest Headlines From OWCS Stage 2<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"799\" height=\"533\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"Zeta Division competing in Overwatch 2 tournament in Esports World Cup 2024\" class=\"wp-image-192786 lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.declareitspiritwear.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/53887373502_c2c9716155_c.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Image credit: Luc Bouchon, Esports World Cup Foundation via Flickr<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68654babe8f15\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/liquipedia.net\/overwatch\/Overwatch_Champions_Series\/2025\/NA\/Stage_2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NA Stage 2<\/a> was won by Geekay Esports, but its victory didn&#8217;t come easily. Despite topping the regular season without a single loss, Geekay Esports were knocked down to the Lower Bracket Finals after losing 1-3 to Team Liquid in the Regional Playoffs.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68654babe960e\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Geekay Esports then made a major comeback after defeating NTMR 3-0, eventually claiming a revenge victory against Team Liquid in the Grand Finals, leaving with a narrow 4-3 win.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68654babe9d27\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/liquipedia.net\/overwatch\/Overwatch_Champions_Series\/2025\/EMEA\/Stage_2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Over in EMEA<\/a>, the top six teams that managed to make it through to the Stage 2 Regional Playoffs is exactly identical to Stage 1. Virtus.pro previously won<a href=\"https:\/\/liquipedia.net\/overwatch\/Overwatch_Champions_Series\/2025\/EMEA\/Stage_1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> EMEA Stage 1<\/a> after defeating Al Qadsiah. However, in Stage 2, the organisation was defeated by Twisted Minds, meaning Al Qadsiah had a chance at redemtion this time around.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68654babea44b\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Al Qadsiah first defeated Twisted Minds in the Upper Bracket Finals of the Regional Playoffs before facing them again in a rematch during the Grand Finals. But in the end, AL Qadsiah came out on top and won 4-2.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68654babeab81\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>What&#8217;s interesting to note is that not every team that originally qualified for the Stage 1 <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2025\/04\/overwatch-champions-clash-2025-winner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Champions Clash<\/a> made it to the Midseason Championships. It will begin with a Group Stage in the first two days, where the top two teams from the four groups will advance to the playoffs. In the final two days, the teams will compete in a single elimination bracket for the lion&#8217;s share of the $1.05 million (~\u00a3830,000) prize pool.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68654babec306\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p> While Crazy Raccoon is anticipated online to take home the win as they did last year, there are some noteworthy contenders this time around. Geekay Esports has demonstrated a strong performance in Stage 2 so far, defeating teams like NTMR and Team Liquid. In other regions such as EMEA, Al Qadsiah have been shown to be in top form. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68654babeca72\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>We may also see a dark horse emerge from the final two spots available.
