Blizzard Entertainment has revealed more details on the Overwatch 2 Season 18 midseason update, sharing all the skins, events, and features coming to the hero shooter.
From recoloured Overwatch League (OWL) skins to weekly events celebrating the game’s anniversary, here is everything coming this season.
Stadium Update
The poster hero of Overwatch 2, Tracer, will arrive to the Stadium game mode come the midseason. Developers have detailed a playstyle focused on ‘disruption and high-mobility flanks’ for the character, bringing with her a unique set of powers in The Armoury.
New systems are also being added to Stadium, including advanced custom games and AI bot integration. The custom game feature now allows players to adjust ‘everything’, from the number of rounds to bans, maps and more. On the other hand, AI bots will now be implemented for scrims, allowing players to both spar and experiment with builds.
Overwatch 2 Season 18 Midseason Events
Overwatch is celebrating its birthday for 2025 with four weeks of rotating limited-time modes, with in-game rewards up for grabs. The events will be available for one week each, running from September 16th to October 13th.
This is the full schedule of all the modes that will be playable in the midseason update:
- Week 1: Prop Hunt + Classic 2016, plus a Legendary Loot Box
- Week 2: Mirrorwatch + Classic 2017, plus Mythic Prisms
- Week 3: April Fools 25 + Classic 2018, plus a Legendary Loot Box
- Week 4: Junk’s Lab + Classic 2020, plus Mythic Prisms
Competitive drives will also be available, similar to the Season 17 midseason update, from October 9th to 13th, offering exclusive signatures and competitive points.
Midseason Skins
Several collections of skins will also arrive in the midseason update, ranging from esports bundles to themed cosmetics.
These are all of the themed skin collections coming with the midseason update:
- Poolside
- Mercy, Reinhardt, Illari, Junker Queen, and Ashe
- Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle includes Wuyang
- Floral Dreams
- Ana, Kiriko, Juno, and Symmetra
- Starter Pack includes Moira and 1,000 Overwatch coins
- Neo Streetwear
- Freja, Sombra, Reaper, and Hazard
- Premium Battle Pass tiers include Lucio and Kiriko
- Music festival collection
- Mercy, Juno, Ashe, Sombra, and Pharah
Four OWL skins will be arriving, recoloured after the esports organisation, Solaris. The skins include Moira (Wicked), Zenyatta (Zennakji), Brigitte (Goat), and Reaper (Luchador), in addition to matching charms, name cards, and icons. The skins will be available in the esports tab in Season 18.1.
